Enjoy the serenity of a country setting just 12 minutes from the historic Santa Fe Plaza. This location offers easy access to Albuquerque to the south, the opera to the north and Las Campanas just down the road.
The formal great room and dining room are decorated in Spanish-colonial style with antique furniture, santos, tapestries, oil paintings and Indian pottery. The great room features high beamed ceilings, leather sofas, wood fireplace, window seats, great views and French doors leading to a covered portal, perfect for al fresco dining. The dining room seats 12 and features a tin chandelier by renowned tinsmith, Juan Martinez.
The casual area with wonderful views includes the kitchen, a further dining area and den which is decorated with cheerful folk art and bright colors reflecting Hispanic and Indian cultures. The den has an entertainment center with two reclining leather sofas. The gourmet kitchen is complete with Bosch double ovens and a 5-burner stove top, reverse osmosis water, bar area and extensive china, glassware and cookware. This area opens onto another lovely patio with table and chairs.
Two of the 4 bedrooms are master suites with kings beds and gas fireplaces in each. One suite opens onto a private courtyard with a fountain and the other opens onto a sunny patio. The third bedroom has a queen bed and single bed,which is an original antique bedstead owned by "Silver City Millie", the last legal madam of New Mexico. The fourth bedroom has a double bed. All three bathrooms have jet tubs and two shower rooms are tiled with Roman style mosaic floors.
The xeric landscaping features split rail fencing, native aspen and pinon, mortarless rock walls and 5 benches situated throughout the property, providing cozy seating to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
