Our Guarantee Protects Renters

PickPackGo guarantees all renters the following:

  • With every rental, you will have an opportunity to purchase travel insurance to protect against the loss of your vacation home rental fees.
  • With every rental, you will have an opportunity to purchase damage insurance to avoid the need for potentially large cash security deposits.
  • We will remove any property listings for which there are three substantially negative renter reviews, and the owner has not addressed issues of concern.
  • We may offer you one free night's stay at an alternative accommodation or a refund for one night's stay if you are unable to access the rental property you booked through PickPackGo in a timely manner and the property manager or owner is not available to provide an alternative accommodation.

Security Blanket™ Guarantee - Renter Benefits

The Security Blanket™ Guarantee is designed to bring renters peace of mind by providing prompt and effective recourse in the unlikely event that unpleasant surprises are encountered during a stay at any of the properties that are booked through PickPackGo.

Travel Insurance

We understand that unforeseen events do happen, which is why you will have an opportunity to purchase travel insurance with every vacation rental from either PickPackGo or from the property manager. Travel insurance covers cancellation fees that may be incurred and provides other benefits if your travel plans change.

Our travel insurance partner, AIG Travel Guard, is the industry's leading provider of travel insurance plans—covering more than six million travelers worldwide each year. Its travel insurance plans offer coverage for vacation and trip cancellation, travel interruptions and delays, emergency medical and health expenses, lost baggage and more.

Plus, every AIG Travel Guard insurance plan includes a 24-hour travel emergency service for emergency medical assistance, last-minute or emergency travel and flight changes, lost luggage tracking, pre-trip travel advice and more. With a variety of plans, you have an opportunity to purchase the coverage that best meets your travel needs.

Damage Insurance

All renters using PickPackGo for vacation rentals will have an opportunity to purchase $1,500.00 (USD) of damage insurance from AIG Travel Guard for a nominal $45.00 (USD) fee through PickPackGo. This insurance can help to avoid the need for potentially large cash security deposits.

Renter Reviews

We encourage renters to post reviews about their stays at a particular vacation property. Only renters who have actually stayed in properties available through PickPackGo are eligible to submit a review. We allow property managers and owners to respond to each posted review.

We will remove any property listings from our site when there are three highly negative guest reviews and the owner has not made an effort to address the issues.

Availability

If the vacation property is unavailable or inaccessible, and you are unable to reach the property manager or owner, PickPackGo will attempt to contact the property manager or owner to correct the situation on your behalf.

We may offer you one free night's stay at an alternative accommodation or a refund for one night's stay if you are unable to access the rental property you booked through PickPackGo in a timely manner and the property owner or manager is not available to provide an alternative accommodation.

Personal Information

We respect your privacy and seek to help you protect your personal information at all times. The personal information—including name, address, phone number and credit card information—that you entrust to our care will not be shared.

We guarantee that your personal information will never be given to any third-party advertiser on PickPackGo without your consent.

Resolving Disputes

If you encounter issues with a particular property, we encourage you to communicate directly with the responsible property manager or owner. Renters may also contact PickPackGo Customer Service by phone at 1.877.824.6912 (local/international: 1.415.558.8245) or bookings@pickpackgo.com for assistance in resolving issues.

If a problem arises, renters must follow the procedures below to receive the benefits provided by the Security Blanket™ Guarantee. All claims must be submitted within the timeframes below to receive the benefits of the guarantee and to allow PickPackGo an opportunity to effectively resolve your issue.

Submitting a Renter Claim under the Security Blanket™ Guarantee

If claims are not submitted in a timely manner to allow PickPackGo an opportunity to resolve issues, you may not receive the benefits of the guarantee.

You must contact PickPackGo Customer Service by phone at 1.877.824.6912 (local/international: 1.415.558.8245) or by email at bookings@pickpackgo.com within four (4) hours of scheduled check-in time if the property is unavailable at the time of scheduled check-in and the property manager or owner cannot be contacted. PickPackGo will make reasonable efforts to locate an alternative accommodation for that night, and if unable to do so will refund the pro-rated portion of your rental fees for one night's stay.

In the event that you need to cancel or postpone any of your bookings with PickPackGo, contact AIG Travel Guard directly if you have purchased trip insurance. In addition, contact the individual property manager or owner and notify PickPackGo Customer Service by phone at 1.877.824.6912 (local/international: 1.415.558.8245) or by email at cancellation@pickpackgo.com with the property ID number. The sooner you inform us of your change in plans, the sooner property managers and owners have an opportunity to rebook the property, which helps increase your chances of receiving a partial refund from an owner or property manager for your cancelled booking.

Terms and Conditions

The PickPackGo Security Blanket™ Guarantee applies to all bookings beginning June 1, 2007.
